1995, Cuttack, Odisha, Jyotiprakash Pradhan is an emerging Indian painter whose practice reflects on the intersections of culture, memory, and contemporary experience. His works are characterized by intricate forms, layered textures, and a contemplative use of colour, creating compositions that respond to the dynamic social and cultural contexts of Odisha and beyond. Pradhan continues to expand his practice with works that bridge regional traditions and contemporary artistic inquiry, situating his art within the evolving discourse of Indian modern and contemporary painting.
A graduate of the B.K. College of Art & Crafts in Bhubaneswar (BVA, 2016) and the College of Fine Arts, Thiruvananthapuram (MFA, 2021), Pradhan has already established his presence in the contemporary Indian art landscape. His inclusion in Yuva Sambhava (2022)—a landmark exhibition organized by The Raza Foundation to celebrate S.H. Raza’s centenary, featuring 100 young Indian artists—affirmed his position among the country’s most promising voices.
