Sahaya Sharma is a multidisciplinary South Asian artist based in New Delhi whose mixed-media practice spans canvas and paper. Working with oil, enamel, acrylic, and spray paint across a variety of surfaces, Sharma constructs expansive cosmic landscapes that explore layered visual and energetic fields. Her work draws on diverse influences, including Surrealism, the Neo-Tantric Art Movement, and traditional Indian craft practices.
Sharma’s retro-futuristic compositions are built through meticulous layering, resulting in immersive, hypnotic environments that suggest multiple portals of entry and exit. These intricate visual spaces invite contemplation and evoke a sense of movement between inner and outer worlds.
Her artistic process is further informed by a range of personal and spiritual pursuits, including Pranic healing, songwriting, composing music on the guitar, and scuba diving. Together, these influences shape a practice driven by curiosity, wonder, and an expansive engagement with life.
