Care Instructions for Works on Paper

1. Handle with clean hands or gloves
   Always handle paper works with clean, dry hands or cotton gloves to avoid transferring oils or moisture.
2. Avoid direct sunlight
   UV rays can cause fading and discoloration. Display artworks away from direct sunlight or use UV-protective glazing when framing.
3. Maintain a stable environment
   Paper is sensitive to fluctuations in temperature and humidity. Aim for a consistent climate, ideally around 18 to 22°C (64 to 72°F) and 45 to 55 percent humidity.
4. Keep away from damp areas
   Spaces near water such as coastal homes, bathrooms, or kitchens can cause paper to warp or attract mold. Proper framing can provide a protective barrier.
5. Store flat or upright, never rolled
   If not framed or displayed, store works in acid-free folders or portfolios and keep them flat or upright, not rolled.

   Framing protects the artwork from environmental damage, prevents yellowing, and ensures longevity, especially in humid or coastal conditions.
