Description
Care Instructions for works on paper-
- Handle With Clean Hands or Gloves
Always handle paper works with clean, dry hands or cotton gloves to avoid transferring oils or moisture. - Avoid Direct Sunlight
UV rays can cause fading and discoloration. Display artworks away from direct sunlight or use UV-protective glazing when framing. - Maintain a Stable Environment
Paper is sensitive to fluctuations in temperature and humidity. Aim for a consistent climate—ideally around 18–22°C (64–72°F) and 45–55% humidity. - Keep Away From Damp Areas
Spaces near water (like coastal homes, bathrooms, or kitchens) can cause paper to warp or attract mold. Proper framing can provide a protective barrier. - Store Flat or Upright, Never Rolled
If not framed or displayed, store works in acid-free folders or portfolios, and keep them flat or upright—not rolled. - Framing
Framing protects the artwork from environmental damage, prevents yellowing, and ensures longevity-especially vital in humid or coastal conditions.
